The base pre-order reward

The US PlayStation Standard Edition page lists the Lion Dog charm and the Sealed Curse sword skin as the pre-order items, and notes the rewards may be offered separately in future. That caveat is standard Capcom wording and worth reading before paying extra for a bonus.

These are cosmetic and charm items rather than story or mission content, so missing them does not lock you out of anything in the campaign.

Extra items on the higher editions

The PlayStation Premium Deluxe Edition page lists four bonus items together: Lion Dog, White Monkey, Sealed Curse and White Lion. The PlayStation Blog similarly separates the base pre-order reward from the additional Deluxe and Premium Deluxe bonuses.

This is separate from the Deluxe Kit itself, which contains the Oni Lady, Little Dancer and Mentor charms plus four sword skins, the Red Armor outfit and the Crimson Lotus Oni Gauntlet skin.

Why it became an Early Adopter Bonus

Moving the release from September 25 to September 4, 2026 shortened the pre-order window. Capcom addressed this in its Steam announcement by converting digital pre-order rewards into a time-limited Early Adopter Bonus and publishing cut-off times in PDT, EDT and BST.

In practice that means buying shortly after launch could still earn the items, but only until the stated deadline. Confirm the exact time for your region — the three time zones published do not cover every market.

Physical editions work differently

Retail copies depend on the retailer and the region, so bonus codes and packaging extras are not guaranteed to match the digital list. A community pre-order thread collected examples of regional physical bundles, but those are shopper reports rather than official confirmation.

If a bonus is the reason you are pre-ordering a physical copy, read the retailer's itemised contents list before ordering and keep the receipt in case a code is missing.

The demo reward is not a pre-order bonus

Keeping a demo save file grants the Kubi Akari charm in the full game. This is free to anyone who plays the demo on PS5 or Steam and has nothing to do with pre-ordering.

The two are frequently confused in search results. If the only reward you wanted is Kubi Akari, download the free demo and skip the pre-order question entirely.

Check before you commit

Bonus availability, deadlines, prices and edition contents all change on live storefronts. A third-party comparison video is useful for structure but quotes UK pricing and physical availability that will not match every region.

Open the PlayStation, Nintendo or Steam listing for your own account region, read the bonus section on the page, and buy from there rather than from an aggregator link.

What the bonus items are
